Wellington Kayak & Knee board Club

About

Wellington Kayak & Knee Board Club is affiliated to Canoe Racing New Zealand

Kayaking has been part of Aotearoa’s culture since pre-European times. Wellingtonians love to be in, on and around water. Canoe Racing, including Sprint, Marathon and Surf Ski paddling is a reflection of our cherished tradition and connection to the water.

Wellington Kayak & Knee Boarding Club (WKKC) seeks to build on this connection by growing the sport locally. Building on New Zealand’s proud history of international success WKKC want to encourage kayaking for pure enjoyment – incorporating racing and social events and building a community of paddling enthusiasts.
